No water.

Unfortunately, one of the side affects of having 50 year old pipes is that the main house water shut off valve doesn't shut all the way. I had a little sprinkler incident which involved having to shut off the water to replace a valve, except the pipe kept leaking... and leaking... and leaking. After a couple hours (and a few trips to Home Depot) we finally called a plumber. Luckily, being 8 pm on a Sunday night he didn't really want to come out, so he just explained how to shut off the main water pipe from the street.

In the meantime, we had invited our friends Frank and Jess over for a BBQ, which also turned into a PVC gluing extravaganza. The pipes are in place and hopefully in the morning our leaks will be no more!
